PASADENA — The Pasadena Unified School District announced that Phase 2 of its school reopening will commence on Monday, Jan. 27.
Field Elementary, Washington STEM Magnet, Madison Elementary, Norma Coombs Elementary, and the Children’s Center at Jefferson will all reopen on Monday, with the Alma Fuerte Charter at Cleveland reopened on Friday.
The PUSD included a link to a safety fact sheet in their statement on X.
“All Pasadena Unified School District sites will be cleaned, sanitized, and pass environmental tests before reopening,” it reads. “This includes PUSD schools, offices, and the service center, as well as campuses to be occupied by charter schools. In addition to PUSD Maintenance and Operations staff, a specialized contractor undertook the cleaning involving more than 1,500 workers. To date, 122 tons of debris have been removed from district sites. On return to school, masks will be distributed to students and staff.”
