ROSEMEAD - With the city of Rosemead building two new aquatic centers at both Rosemead and Garvey parks, former Mayor and current Garvey School District Board Member Bob Bruesch just wants to make sure those south of Interstate 10 will have the same opportunities and access as those north of the freeway.

ROSEMEAD – Southern California Edison and Edison International recently awarded four west San Gabriel Valley college students with $2,500 scholarships to be used at their respective universities, company officials said.
The scholarships are renewable for up to four years for a total of $10,000, officials said, and are for students studying science, technology, engineering or math.

ROSEMEAD - At 88 years young, it is not what Helen Gunther forgets. It is with the amazing accuracy at which she remembers. Born in Salt Lake City in 1921, Gunther and her family moved to Rosemead when she was 5 years old and she has not forgotten a fact about the area since.
