Monterey Park Police Officers arrested three suspects for Residential Burglary and Possession of Stolen Property today (1-19-120 after an alert citizen called to report a suspicious vehicle in the area of the 1200 Block of Ridgecrest Street.
Police said the citizen reported seeing subjects in a late model Orange Dodge Challenger cruising in the neighborhood. The driver of the vehicle was detained and two additional suspects ran from officers. One suspect fled to the roof of the 7-11 store at Monterey Pass Road and Floral Dr. Another was located hiding in a dumpster. The suspects were in possession of stolen property from a burglary that was discovered by the officers and detectives during their investigation. According to a police press release the individuals booked are a female identified as Kiara Camacho, Ramon Wright, and David Grace. Both were charged with burglary, possession of stolen property, and resisting arrest.) Police said they are continuing their investigation into possible connection with other area burglaries. Monterey Park Police have responded to an increasing number of residential burglaries in the past several months, particularly in the residential areas west of Atlantic Boulevard. Police encouraged citizens in all areas of the city to report suspicious persons and vehicles in their neighborhoods by calling 9-1-1 and reporting a description of the individuals and activity they are observing. βIt is imperative that citizens report suspicious activity when it is occurring so that officers can investigate immediately, β a police press release stated.
