In an article today, (4/22/17) the Pasadena Star News is alleging that a Monterey Park City finance employee was escorted out of City Hall Wednesday because he was under review for allegations regarding the use of a city credit card to pay for a trip to New York.
The byline article by reporter Christopher Yee said the information about the incident was released by a "city official with knowledge of the situation." The official reportedly spoke to Yee on the condition of anonymity because he wasn't authorized to speak publicly about the incident.
The story was published Saturday morning and the Journal was unable to confirm any information on the non-business day.
Star news reporter said he talked to two finance department managers and Interim City Manager Bow but could not get confirmation and details about the report.
